14-Gauge Cold-Rolled Steel NEMA-Rated Enclosures — Freestanding (24–42RU) and Wall Mount (12–26RU), NEMA 12 & NEMA 4 Protection, 150–2,000 lb Load Capacity

Electron Metal NEMA enclosures are manufactured from 14-gauge (.075″) cold-rolled steel and sealed with urethane gaskets on all doors, covers, and rear sections. The product family spans 19 configurations across three categories: NEMA 12 freestanding cabinets (24RU and 42RU with filtered ventilation and 2,000 lb static load capacity), NEMA 12 wall mount cabinets (12–26RU, 150 lb capacity), and NEMA 4 wall mount cabinets (12–26RU, 150 lb capacity with corrosion-resistant primer). All models use 19″ EIA-310 compliant mounting rails with tapped 10-32 holes and integral brush strips. Every enclosure ships with wall mount brackets (wall mount models) or levelling hardware (freestanding models), 24 screws (10-32 × 5/8″), and eight 1/4-20 ground studs. Each NEMA enclosure accommodates standard 19″ rackmount equipment with reinforced 4.25″ wide mounting rails. Wall mount models feature a two-section swing-out design with FATH cabinet hinges for 180° access, internal compression latches (16.84″ or 18.86″ depending on depth), and four wall mount brackets shipped loose for field installation. Freestanding models include 3-point latching doors with NEMA 12 filter inserts, high-density cable management channels, Kooltronic filtered fan assemblies (159 CFM), side panels with integrated filters, and 1/2-13 eyebolts for overhead lifting. NEMA 4 models add a corrosion-resistant primer under the RAL 7035 powder coat for environments with intermittent moisture, splashing, or hose-directed water.
